Three Weeks Later
Claude dispared. Sumo was gone. As was Maggie. Oh Maggie, how his heart ached. They had had but one kiss when he lost her. He had not felt something like that in decades and now to have it and to have lost it, was ripping his soul to shreds. It was not better to have loved and lost. Never. I would be better to not even know. Claude was in worse shape than he had ever been. Even his condition after the genocide of the Sasquatch or his condition at the time he met Maggie could not compare. He was beaten. He sat in the corner of his old home in the sewer, not eating or talking, barely moving, waiting for the release of death.
After they had met Tadashi Nakamura, things seemed to be going so well. Revenge on Bender seemed certain. Sumo would be given back to his owner. The poor Woman; Claude was racked with sobs again. But then it all changed and there was no way to fix it.
about Sumo
Sumo is Elaine's #1 Marathon Running Fan. Sadly, Elaine lost Sumo somewhere during her work commute from Midtown West to Midtown East. Building security checked for Sumo everywhere, but he was no where to be found. Luckily, Sumo was found by a young British boy vacationing in NY. He took it back to his parents home in Notting Hill, but he himself dropped it while skipping down to the Picadilly line. The Sumo was then found again and put on Ebay...

episode 25 - "Enter Bunny" (Season 1 ends.)
"The order of Sumo????" asked Claude incredulously.
"Yes. Though the masters family has over the centuries been corrupted, his apprentices and followers have always been loyal. We have never betrayed Sumo and his power. We must protect him at all costs. He who holds Sumo, can hold the world. If you draw out the full power of Sumo, you take life from others and take it into yourself. But you can also grant that life to whoever you want. Imagine the man you call Bender with the power to draw life from the world and give that life to whom he chose. What favors could he get from the powerful and corrupt if he could extend their life by decades if not centuries."
Claude almost threw up. Bender with the power could not be allowed. Claude would stop him, no matter the cost to himself. "But how can we stop him"
Now the enigmatic man smiled, "Sumo can be given freely from person to person. If you just find him, he is not really yours. You might have him and hold him, but he isnt yours. Claude, you might be with Sumo, but since he want not freely given, you cannot know his full power. Only the owner can do this. The owner while he or she hold sumo, Sumo cannot be taken against his or her will. The person cannot be killed in anger or in cold blood. Sumo will protect the person against that."
"Yes", said Maggie, "But the owner does not have Sumo, we do"
"Right. And without Sumo the owner is vulnerable. The owner can be killed. And if the owner is killed without holding Sumo, ownership can pass to anyone"
Claude almost yelled, "But who is the owner, we have to find and protect this person, but who the hell are they?"
"Claude, I knew, I would give my life for them. But I have no idea who they might be".
Maggie was in shock. She knew. She knew who the owner was. She had read the label on the box back in the airport.

episode 24 - "1563?"
Maggie responded first...."1563?"
The mysterious figure stepped closer and Maggie and Claude were able to get a good look. He was a a male about 30 years old. We wore a suit, but the suit seemed dangerous. He seemed dangerous. Like a kettle about to boil.
The man drew a deep breath. "yes. 400 years ago. Sumo is not a voodoo doll as he might seem. But a artifact on the level of Excalibur." Maggie thought it was strange that he said Excalibur without a hint on irony. Like the ancient sword actual existed. The man continued. "It was made by a Japanese artisan in the village of Nara. It was passed from farther to son, from generation to generation. During the meiji restoration, when Japan, opened to the world, it became lost. The last generation of the line should have died out. And they did. Except for one. Who found another way to Survive." The man looked at Claude and Claude knew he spoke of his brother's blood.
"Yes Claude. Since Meji,140 years ago. The last of the line of Sumo's creator has been suriving on the blood of bigfoot, of the Sasquatch. And all this time he has been looking for Sumo. And he just found him. His real name is Satoshi Tezuka. He is 260. He corrupted the power of Sumo. What was created by his great great great grandfather to give life to the land, he took for himself. Sumo made his familgy long lived. But maybe 100 or 110 at most. It was not enough for Satoshi. He wanted life eternal. And he took and took from Sumo until it was lost. Then he drank the blood of the Sasquatch, using the power in his persona as Bender to persecute and destroy them, so he could use them to extend his life. Bender has lived long, but has given his soul."
Maggie again, "But what is Sumo??? What are you??"
The man thought, "Sumo for all intents in purposes is the fountain of youth.
But if misused it is not free. And I...I am Tadashi Nakamura, a knight of the order of the Sumo"

episode 23 - "Hypnotic"
Claude understood. Bender had been drinking Sasquatch blood for years. He had been looking for a youth portion even back when he was a Nazi. He must have heard the legends of the Sasquatch and their longetivity and figured he could somehow use it to extend his life.
Claude had always assumed the Sasquatch had been killed for politcal purposes or because powerful people were afraid. MAybe they were not killed, but harvested for their bodies and blood. Claude remembered the destroyed forest, but remembered very few Sasquatch bodies.
If Bender had killed the Sasquatch to extend their life, then Claude could finally have closure here. Well, once he bashed Bender's head in.
But why Sumo. WHy go to all this trouble over a toy. Claude knew the affect Sumo had on him, but what else could he do. Why did Claude want him?
Claude looked carefully at Sumo. He had always assumed he had been built in the last few years. But maybe not. In small letters on sumos back were some japanese and Chinese characters. Claude had no idea what they meant.
He showed it to Maggie. Her eyes went ride. Whatever language it was, Maggie Sawyer could read it. Maggie caught her breath and said, "It is the artist who built it, his or her name was Takahara and a date. Japanese dates are emperor and the year of his reign. This says Ogimachi yeat 5. I dont know when that is, I can read, I I dont know every emperor. But it has to be a loooong time ago"
A deep voice cut into the conversation. "Actually, it was around 1563 on the western calender to be percise"

episode 22 - "Sumo kinda like Icarus"
Claude drew in a breath deeply. He had always assumed that the Nazi was dead. But if he now seemed to be in his early 60s, that meant that he aged 5 years in the last 60+. Claude as a Sasquatch could live 200 years, but for a human to be unchanged in 6 decades was unheard of.
What could be keeping him alive. How could be still be around. He would have to be at least 120.
Maggie interupted his train of thought, "He wants the Sumo and wants it bad. He thinks that it is special, that there is some property of it that is near magic. He described it as a portable fountain of youth. Thats why he hired me, to find Sumo. He would place me in places where he deemed it likely to find one. I dont know how he determined them. But they were always misses, well, always misses until he turned up in the airport."
"OK. That expalins why he might want Sumo. But how the h*ll is he still alive."
"I dont know. I have never seen him do anything strange. Except...except..He had this fridge, that he kept refilling. It was always filled with Tomato Juice or V8 in these little beakers. Lately though he hasent been refilling it, and the fridge has just emptied out. Weird right. But one day he left an empty one. I picked it up and smelled it and it smelled like blood. But even if it was blood, that wouldnt make him live so long"
Claude thought for a second and became angry. No, blood could not explain his longetivity. Not human blood. But, maybe, Sasquatch blood could.....

episode 21 - "He is like Dick Clark"
The whiskey stung Claude as he drank deeply, but slowly. Sumo's whiskey sat in front of Sumo, untouched. Maggie sat next to Cluade.
Claude looked over with a start and was about to run. But he noticed that Maggie was just sitting there, so he remained seated. Maggie fumbled for words, "I'm sorry. I tried to kill you, take Sumo. but we dont have time for that right now. He is coming"
"Who might the he be?"
"Mr. Bender. My boss. But he is more than that. A lot more. And he might even have beeen involved when...when...". Maggie wanted to say "when you killed my father", but she knew it wasnt entirely true. so she caught herself and said "when you were attacked"
Claudes hackels rose. Bender. He knew the name. He knew that name. He didnt know he was involved in the death of Sasquatch kind. He knew the name. He had been in and out of Claude's life ever since the Second World War. Bender had been a Nazi scientist. Experiementing on everything and everyone. Claude and a Canadian paratrooper platoon had destroyed the lab. But Bender had escaped.
Could it be the same, Bender. Heir Bender had been about 50 or 60 then.
"What does Bender look like?", said Claude.
Maggie described him and it matched the description to a T. Then Maggie added "He is probably in his early 60s"

episode 20 - "If it's not Scottish, it's crap."
Maggie did not know where to go. She knew that Claude wasnt going home. Where could he be going. He didnt seeem to know he was being followed. The W was the closest hotel and Maggie ran there.
Maggie entered the door of the Whiskey Bar and sitting at the bar was Claude. He must have just came in. He sat with a whiskey in front of him. Sumo sat at the bar, with strangely a Whiskey in front of him as well.
Maggie was a little scared, only luck (or Sumo?) had prevented her from killing Claude. She knew he killed her father, but he also knew he had no choice.
She stood there staring at Claude. There was something. She looked a little scary, but he wasnt ugly. In fact he reminded her of her car, cute but warn around the edges.

episode 19 - "Like a Bond Villian"
Claude didnt know why Sumo was sad, but he could almost feel the small doll letting off waves of despair. Claude resolved to do whatever he could to make it better for him. Since he couldnt go home Claude decided to spend the night in the W.
He did not notice the black car behind him as he walked down Lexington.
There was a driver and 2 passengers. The driver was a large man in a sharp suit. Sharp here does not mean stylish, but literally sharp. The suit looked as if it could cut you.
In the back was a short bald man. He wore an Cardigan and Cords and help a walking stick in his left hand. Next to him looking totally disshevled was Maggie Sawyer.
"You have failed me for the last time, Maggie"
"Mr Bender. I saw Sumo. But I think he isnt bad. It tried to kill the man
but I couldnt do it"
”YOU LET THE SUMO GO!!!!!! DO you think I care if you killed the damn Hairy Sasquatch or not.The Candadians hunted them all down long ago; you should know you father helped"
Maggie looked over at him. "What?"
”Yes, the Canadian Government killed all of em back in the 1970s. One or two were cornered and got away”.Bender laughed, "After taking a few Mounties down with them. I know your father was one of them, but comeon, he makes me look good. Taking down little Sasquatch girls and boys. Ha Ha. And after all these years, all the hatred, And you couldnt kill him, it is all too rich. But regardless, you failed. You didnt get the Sumo. You know how important this is to me and my organization. I must fufill the prophecy - He who holds Sumo, holds the World".
With that Maggie kicked out knocking the stick out of the hand. Grabbing the stick with one hand, she opened the car door with the other and rolled out of the moving car and ran into the night.

episode 18 - "Beauty is fleeting"
There are times when time compresses. When a fraction of a fraction of a second can be long enough for a tree to grow from a seed, or a least to seem that way. In the millisecond before the firing of the gun, Sumo fell back off of Claude's shoulder. Claude instinctively reached out for Sumo and as he did so his leg splayed out, knocking Maggie off balance and causing the bullet to go into the ceiling.
Claude sat there on the floor, with Sumo in the hand that he was caught in. Did Sumo fall on purpose, did he know what would happen.
Maggie sat on the floor sobbing. Claude was going to go over to her and put his arm around her, but thought better of it.
Claude left his home by taking a random tunnel. When he finally surfaced he found himself in the midst of a group of runners.
Sumo felt something. There. Running past Claude. He could feel the pull. There she was, in all her glory. He was almost back. He knew she was there. Sumo felt content. Running by was Elaine. Claude was a wonderful Sasquatch but he could never be Elaine. What better fate was there than to dangle from her bag. And then, she was gone. She ran right past Claude was intent was she on her running.

episode 17 - "All good things...."
Clause was unable to move. Sumo still dangled on his shoulder. Claude looked at her eyes and knew and remembered that awful day. Yes he was defending himself, but how could a little girl have understood that when she saw her father die. "I did mean to. I had too" stammered Claude
"My name is Maggie Sawyer. You Killed my Father prepare to die"
"You were so young. I am sorry. I..I.."
Maggie gained confidence and approached closer. "My name is Maggie Sawyer. You Killed my Father prepare to die"
Claude watched her approach with in a second she was upon him with the gun pressed up under his chin. That was as high as Maggie could reach.
A million thought and doubts went through Maggie's mind. Pieces of forgotten conversation. He father on the phone Talking about killing the Saquatch and wiping them out. Her father laughing with a friend over a kill over a beer.
She pushed the thoughts out of her mind. "My name is Maggie Sawyer. You Killed my Father prepare to die" she said as she pulled the trigger.

episode 16 - "Chanelling Indigo Montoya"
Claude had had enough; he thought that Sumo might be tired as well. So he headed how to his Deluxe apartment in the Sky-y-y-y; No, he thought, that wasn't right, it was in the sewer. But soon he and Sumo would move to one of his buildings in the Village.
He passed the Beard Papa and went down to his grate; which stangely aleady removed. He dropped down in the sewer and recoiled in shock.
His home was destroyed. Tables and pictures and curtains were all tangled on the floor. Standing in the middle of it all was a woman in her early 40s about 5'5" and sandy hair with a gun pointed at him. Before he could react, she said

episode 15 - "Retribution for the Mountie"
Maggie thought to years past. Back when she was a little girl, in Canada. Though she was a city girl now, it wasn't always that way. When she was born in rural canada, near a large forest. He father was a Mountie. He was so handsome in his uniform; little Maggie liked to stare after he dad as he left for work.
One day, Maggie followed him. Hid in the back of the truck, got out and tracked (as well as a 5 year old could track) her dad into the woods. When she found him a long time later, he and the other mounties had a dirty, large, long haired man surrounded. Her dad did not see her. Then the man moved, quicker than anything she had seen. One by one the mounties went down, including her father.
Maggie ran to him. Held his head up. "Daddy. Daddy". He opened his eyes upon hearing his daughters voice. Looked up into her face with horror, knowing what was coming. He told her to run and then said no more.
Maggie sat there sobbing as the long haired man came over. He raised his hand to her and was about to strike when he looked down at her small figure and stayed his blow. He looked into her eyes, sighed and walked away. He could not harm a child.
Maggie screamed after him "Coward. Scared of a little girl. I will get you. Run. Run". Her 5 year old body shaked as she swore revenge for her father.
Maggie waited in the tunnel. After more than 3 decades her time was coming. She knew it was him from his eyes in the photograph. Her revenge was finally near.

episode 14 - "Putting on the Ritz"
Claude walked past a bespoke tailor. He thought he has nice new clothes, why not Sumo. Claude walked in and ordered a small tuxedo for his friend. Since he paid extra and it was small, they made it for him while Claude ate lunch.
Sumo looked adorable in his little tux. Claude put him on his shoulder and sang to the tune of Putting on the Ritz.
"I was blue and I didnt know
where to go, until I saw Sumo
on my shoulder he sits
Putting on the Ritz
Different guys in different clothes
do we look good? I am sure sumo knows
with perfect fits
Putting on the Ritz
We are dressed up and never bored,
Sumo looks like a young Harrison Ford
come lets mix where hedge fund owners
run around and never drive loaners
their wives only eat bits
Putting on the Ritz"
Maggie got up. She was now in a cold fury. She thought back and remembered, rememebered to when she was a little girl. Maggie was not from the US. No, she was from out neighbor to the north: Canada.

episode 13 - "The Summer of Love"
Claude had totally changed. He felt like it was the Summer of Love all over again, so sometime in the late 60's, we wasent sure when. He had cleaned up his tunnel to make it nice for Sumo. Added drapes and curtains. And took lots of photos. He and Sumo now walked down 5th avenue. It was time to get a new suite. When he saw Shanghai Tang on 57th Street he knew that was where he had to go. He realized that Sumo was not from Shanghai, but it sounded like a good idea.
Maggie pushed the table to the floor with one hand, while scanning with her pistol with the other. Her breathing was hard and laboured. She could not belive it. She was almost blinking back tears. Hatred spilled out of her in waves strong enough to shatter glass. The hatered was not for sumo.
Claude had found a nice set up clothes. And as he reached to pay for it, he smiled down at sumo. He was glad that he had bought real estate in the village in the late 1960s. In fact, he owned 1/2 of Fulton and a 1/3 of Bleecker. He told the cashier "Ill wear it out". He changed clothes. And hummed "Putting on the RItz" as we walked down 57th.
Maggie fell to her knees. He wasnt here. He was out. But he would be back and Maggie would be ready and after 30 years she would have her revenge.
Maggie pushed the table to the floor with one hand, while scanning with her pistol with the other. Her breathing was hard and laboured. She could not belive it. She was almost blinking back tears. Hatred spilled out of her in waves strong enough to shatter glass. The hatered was not for sumo.

episode 12 - "Jealous Girlfriend"
She plunged into the water below and lost her footing. She picked herself up and looked around. Her jaw dropped. She closed her eyes and opened them again, thinking perhaps that would clear away the strange view. However, as she blinked in the suprisingly bright tunnel, what she saw had not changed.
The walls were covered with a glowing moss, that functioned as well as any track lighting in an office. There was down a tunnel a table with chair, covered with a table cloth. And at regular intervals on the tunnel wall there were curtains. There was every trapping of a house or a home. And most shocklingly there were photos everywhere. Photos of a small toy like object...SUMO. In these photos Sumo was sitting in a large hand, or sitting next to a Choux (yes from Beard Papa, there was a bag in the photo) or sitting on top of a slide in the park. As Maggie saw these her heart warmed for Sumo. She smiled.
Then she saw the last photo. There was Sumo dangling off the finger of a large, slight hairy man. Maggie's smile disappeared. She fell into a crouch, pulled out her gun, turned off the saftey, cocked the trigger and carefully looked around.

episode 11 - "Maggie Eurekas!"
Maggie dreaded work each day. Mr. Bender was asking about the Sumo again and she didnt know what to say. She knew Sumo was gone, but where. She left Beard Papa, as she did every day on her way home from work, with a Choux in one hand and a Iced Latte in the other. She grabbed Sampson from the flag pole and walked down the block. As she headed south past the Fairway, she saw that Sampson had grabbed a Kiwi from the racks of fruit on the street As she saw Sampson hide it in his mouth, realization dawned.
She ran back to her apartment, left out food for Sampson, grabbed her weapon and left again, leaving Sampson in the apartment. She flew down Broadway, back to Beard Papa.
She knew it had been 3 months but she had to try. She looked around and then saw the storm grate and remembered it had been raining that night. Perhaps....
She went home and waited for the middle of the night. Then with the proper tools she went back to the same grate that Sumo had gone down, found the access and opened it. With more than a little trepidation, she began to head down.

episode 10 - "All You Need Is Love"
There is something about friendship that cannot be explained. Sometimes words are not sufficient for things. There might not be magic in this world, but there are things that broder on the magical. And in the right time and right place, friendship is one of them.
Having Sumo bounce along on his side, transformed Claude. It started slowly at first, but then quickened. He started to clean his fur, not totally at first, but surely and irrevokably. The most egregious spots and stains and bits of slime and good were removed. Fur that had not been exposed since the Nixon adminsitration, basked in the steam the subways let out into his tunnels.
Sumo might have only been plastic, but he was real in a way to Claude. Claude suffered no illusions about Sumo, but he meant something to him. And Claude felt that even though Sumo might have only been plastic and resin and paint, perhaps Sumo, through some strange working of the interconnected universe, felt something too.
Sumo did feel something. Perhaps not what humans would feel. But he did feel. He missed his old owner, and while Claude would never be, could never be as beautiful and cool as she was, he was a good man (well, good Sasquatch) and Sumo could be happy dangling from his fur.
Sumo and Claude spent every moment together, as the days flew by.
Maggie was beside herself. She had never been able to find that Sumo. And yet, perhaps, finding it was the wrong thing to do. No one knew why the Custom's department looked out for them; no one, except for her and a few of her superiors. She had heard a rumour haat a Sumo might be arriving and thats why she was at JFK that day, almost 3 months ago now. Her strange shadow boss, who she just refered to as Mr. Bender, was on a rampage about these things. She was told that they were dangerous and represented a threat to all of man. She was not sure she believed it; it had just looked so cute.

episode 9 - "Squatchanese"
Claude reached down and picked up Sumo. He held him in his large green hand. Now Claude was not so far gone that he did not know that Sumo was made of plastic, but as he held him, he felt something. A pulling in his heart he had not felt for a generation. He looked at the small object in his hand and his face began to twitch in a weird way. His mouth opened exposing his teeth and the corners of his mouth pointed upwards. He smiled; for the first time since the fire, he smiled.
After staring at Sumo for a long time, Claude cleared his throat. Claude didnt speak to himself, so his vocal cords were weak from years of not being used. It look him a while to remember the words and to form them. Finally, in very quite for understadable Squatchanese he said "My friend. Welcome. I think we will be together for a long time"
And with the he clipped Sumo to his fur and headed down the tunnel.

episode 8 - "Public Enemy #1"
Claude was near City Hall when it happened. He was walking by J&R music world when he looked at the TVs in the window. There was a picture of a forest, his forest, on fire.
He ran, literally, as fast as he could to Nothern Canada. When he got there he could not believe what he saw. The forest was burned to the ground. There were Sasquatches dead and dying everywhere. At first he assumed it was an accident, but then he saw the Mounties.
The Mounties were burning the forest. They were destorying his friends and families. Even though he and his kind had helped Canada during their hour of need, now 20 years later it had been forgotten and the leadership was scared of the monsters in their midst. Claude could not contain his anger, he did not want to hurt anyone, but the pain overcame him. He became and animal and hunted every Mountie he could find.
He became public enemy number one in Canada (a least for those privildged to know, the Canadian Government could not make his existance official). He was hutned and ran and ran. Until he found himself back in NY.
It was now June of 1971. He knew that his friend would not betray him,but he could not put them at risk, nor could he hide with them forever. So he went underground, into the sewer.
He stayed there year after year, decade after decade. OVer time his fur grew back and become molted and then moldy. The damp and the mold took root, covering him. Rendering him, not white, but the green color of smile. He saw no one, so he did not care.
Other than a couple of close calls with some maintainance workers, he did not see a living soul for over 3 decades. He got used to the lonelyness, without a friend, without anyone. But at times he would remember how it used to be in Greenwich Village, with his friends. He was in that type of mood when he approached Sumo.

episode 7 - "ArTarAgHar"
Other than NYC Sewer connaisseurs, very few people know about the Abominable Slimeman. People know about the tribe of Snowmen, But not the Slimeman. For a long time, the Abomidable Snowmen seperated themselves from humanity. The hid in forests an in river valleys. But during World War II, in Canada, where they are known as Sasquatch, the snowmen decided that they needed to throw their lot in with their countrymen. They fought hard in the forest of Europe. And many a German Soldier met his end on the paws of a Candian Snowman.
After the war, they all went home. Well, all, except for one. He had become enamoured of humans and their society and decided to explore the world for a while. His name had been "ArTarAgHar", which sounds tough, but it means "Dewdrop". He adopted the name "Claude" and shaved hismelf so he looked like a Hairy and unkempt large man. He traveled the world. China, Japan, Africa. After a few years his trip came to an end, he enjoyed it, but he thought that it was time to return home. He had loved his trip, but no where felt right. no where was home.
He missed the forests of Canada and was eager to come back. His boat pulled into NY harbour, but as the boat passed the Statue of Liberty and he looked upon the NY skyline, he had a strange feeling. A feeling that he had come home.
His stay in NY started as a few days and then months and then years. Snowmen live a long time at least by human standards and the decades passed. He lived in the Village through the Beatnick years and was quite Boehemian. He became good friends with both Allen Ginsberg and Jaee Jacobs. Both of whom knew his true idenity.
He has happy. But then he had news from Canada. Strange rumblings about the RCMP:The Royal Canadian Mounted Police。

episode 6 - "The Abominable Wat?"
Sumo fell threw the air. It was a long drop. After an surprising long period of time, he landed in a large body of water. Large for Sumo anyway. To say the sumo did not like where he was and found it unpleasant would be an act of gross understatement. There had never been such as unpleasant feeling, even watching mid 1970s disco movies could not approach the horror that he felt.
There is a rumour that Alligators live in the NY city sewer system. It is riddiculous and unfounded. Anyone who knows the NY city sewer knows that is impossible. They know that the Abominable Slimeman lives there.

episode 5 - "How Dew You Do?"
The dog looked down upon Sumo. And gave him a final lick. The pressure of the lick pushed Sumo off the pavement and into the street. Sampson was about to bound into the street to retrieve him when Maggie came out and called him. After looking back and forth from Maggie to Sumo, Sampson ran after Maggie.
The night turned darker and still Sumo sat there alone in the street. He had never been outside like this by himself for so long. Clouds started to cover up the night sky and one by one the bright points of light disappeared behind the cloud cover. As the last of the night was snuffed out, the heavens open, and slowly at first and then with increasing intensity, it began to Rain.
At first, the rain was good for Sumo, removing the grime and dog spittle. But then as the rain continued as stream formed. This stream took Sumo and carried him down the street. It was at quite a quick pace. As sumo came closer to a sewer drain, a can of Mountain Dew blocked his path. He was safe for now, even though the stream pushed under him, the can prevented him from going foward.
Then a dishevled eldery gentleman reached down for the can and pick it up and threw it into a cart, with 1000s of other cans. He did not see Sumo and went on his way. But without the can to block him, the river took Sumo again. Closer and closer to the grate. Until he finally went in.

episode 4 - "Sampson Meet Sumo"
The customers officers did not miss a single crack or a crevice in their search. However, the failed. Captain Maggie Sawyer was not happy with the situation. She tried to releave her tension by giving Sampson a biscket. Strangely and uncharacteristically, Sampson refused. Not once, but on three seperate occasions. Finally frustrated and stressed, Maggie left for some 5 hours after the end of her normal shift. She called Sampson, who bounded after her to the car park. She got into her VW Beatle, which was from 1972. Maggie did not like the new Beatle. She like her cars like she liked her men: cute, but very worn around the edges. Captain Sawyer reached over opened the passenger door and Sampson bounded in. She reached over to close the door and drove away. After parking the car, she got Sampson out and walked over to Broadway to get a Choux from Beard Papa. She tied Sampson outside. Sampson, after she entered the store, but his head to the ground and opened his mouth. When he pulled up, there glistening on the ground, in a puddle of sweat and spit, was Sumo
episode 3 - "Customs Chinese Fire Drill"
The alarm blared. The loud siren drawing all who could hear it to the location of the disturbance. The officer started to fidget. He didnt know what to do. He knew. Drugs: Pass, Infectious Diseases: Pass, Nuclear Material: Pass. But a Sumo! It was unheard of. Even is loose morals could not condone such a thing being allowed entry. He breathed a sigh of relief as 2 other officers, one of whom led a dog on a leash, arrived. The three of them looked closely in the box, but not too closely; they were afraid to touch it. The dog nosed the Sumo. THe officers held their breath, but nothing happened. The had a conference on what to do, but when they returned Sumo was gone. The officer with the dog, ran out of the room to find the Captain to ley him know.
episode 2 - "1029!"
The customers officer look suspiciously around the room. He knew something was wrong. All the boxes seemed to be in order, but there so something suspicious. He checked the boxes again. Cocaine. No, that was OK. Anthrax. No, that was fine too. As normal he would let them both pass. Finally on the third box he confirmed his suspicions. Sitting there, wrapped in bubble wrap, was Sumo. The officer immediately picked up his walky-talky. "We have a 1029. Repeat a 1029" as he ran to hit the alarm.
episode 1 - "Sumooooooooo!"
Sumo was found by a young British boy vacationing in NY. He took it back to his parents home in Notting Hill, but he himself dropped it while skipping down to the Picadilly line. The Sumo was then found again and put on ebay.
